2-minute presentations

This years poster presentations will be quite different. Each 'poster' presenter will give a 2 minute oral summary (2 electronic slides) of your work. This will be followed by a poster presentation with a difference.

Since space is limited we request that you prepare either two A3 sheets or four A4 sheets (45cm x 60cm) that describe your work.

These will be pinned on a board in groups of 6 poster presentations that will be displayed for the entire conference. Note that the font size need not be ultra large (suggested you use14 point).

You should also come with hard copies of your poster (up to four A4 sheets) to give to those interested in you work (say 20 copies).

Oral summary presentation of posters will be delivered in 20 minute blocks (10 posters) and these 10 presenters will then have time to discuss their work around the poster boards and give out their handouts.

Pointers on how to summarise for the 2 minute presentation:
No detail - overview only. You need to whet the appetite of the audience to come and talk to you.

About 40 seconds each to the following:
- What you're doing and why you're doing it.
- How you're doing it
- Results/(significant findings)
