2-minutes/2 slide presentations

This year's poster presentation will follow the same format that was introduced at last year's workshop at Kioloa.

Each 'poster' presenter will give a 2 minute oral summary of their work. Your work must be presented on 2 slides only. For the purpose of expediency it is necessary that these slides are provided the day before your presentation. If these cannot be provided in advance they can only be presented using overhead transparancies (OHT).

This will be followed by a poster presentation with a difference. These will be pinned on a board in groups of 6 poster presentations that will be displayed for the entire conference. Note that the font size need not be ultra large (suggested you use 14 point).

You should also come with hard copies of your poster (up to four A4 sheets) to give to those interested in you work (say 20 copies).

Oral summary presentation of posters will be delivered in 20 minute blocks (10 posters) and these 10 presenters will then have time to discuss their work around the poster boards and give out their handouts.

Pointers on how to summarise for the 2 minute presentation:
No detail - overview only. You need to whet the appetite of the audience to come and talk to you.

About 40 seconds each to the following:
- What you're doing and why you're doing it.
- How you're doing it
- Results/(significant findings)
