Contribution to Costs of International Visiting Scientist - Lecture Tour

Funds have been allocated to contribute to the costs of bringing an internationally renowned researcher/scientist to Australia organized by the ECR/students community. This researcher can be from any area of research interest to the Advanced Materials Network.

Applications will be assessed several times each year.

Application Closing Dates for 2009 are as follows:

1. Friday, 6 March 2009
2. Friday, 22 May 2009
3. Friday, 7 August 2009

Application and Assessment Procedure:

• Applications should address the following criteria: brief CV, recent publications and abstract of talks for researcher to be invited. Include the research area, a detailed justification of the funds requested, location of talks, size of expected audience and details of the researchers involved to organize the tour.
• The sub committee will assess applications against criteria and recommend successful applicants and level of funding to the Australian Research Network for Advanced Materials Executive Committee.
• The committee will inform successful applicants within one month of the application being received.
